The car rental company Lex Dresden GmbH, which had specialised primarily in small trucks and vans since 2004 and was a constant in this segment in the region, has filed for insolvency. In a decision dated 15 November 2021, the Dresden Local Court appointed specialist insolvency lawyer Marcello Di Stefano as the provisional insolvency administrator. Business operations had ceased shortly before. "It is now a matter of securing the assets and ensuring an orderly winding up of the company. I have already asserted the very high outstanding debts of the company, which apparently led to the insolvency; if necessary, these will be claimed in court as soon as possible," Di Stefano said.
