At the Academy driving school centre, many newcomers learned how to start uphill behind the wheel. Their mountain of debt was now unmanageable for the driving school itself. The management filed for insolvency for the Academy Fahrschulzentrum UG (haftungsbeschränkt). On 25.05.2022, the Eschwege Local Court opened insolvency proceedings and appointed Dr Martin Linsenbarth, lawyer and specialist in insolvency law, as insolvency administrator. Business operations had already been discontinued shortly before the application was filed, so that the focus of the administrator's work is now on securing and realising all assets and on winding up the company in an orderly manner.
