The Local Court of Gera has appointed DiLigens partner Marcello Di Stefano as insolvency administrator for the assets of Palace Eyba UG.

This ran the Schlosshotel Eyba in the same district of Saalfeld. In addition to the hotel business with 37 rooms, guests also had access to a restaurant that was well-known in the region. Due to the decline in bookings in the conference and seminar business and the significant increase in costs, the company got into financial difficulties and then filed for insolvency.

Operations were initially continued without restrictions in the provisional insolvency proceedings. "We are currently examining all options to preserve the Schloßhotel Eyba and the jobs there," said Di Stefano, a specialist lawyer for insolvency and restructuring law, at the time.

Unfortunately, there was ultimately no possibility of restructuring or continuing the business, meaning that the hotel and restaurant operations had to be discontinued during the preliminary insolvency proceedings.
