The Mühlhausen Local Court has ordered debtor-in-possession proceedings for the assets of Fleischerei Holzapfel Thüringer Fleisch- und Wurstwaren GmbH. DiLigens partner Marcello Di Stefano, a specialist lawyer for insolvency and restructuring law, has been appointed as administrator. The restructuring consultants are the experts from Uppenbrink & Collegen in Hagen/Westphalia.

In addition to its modern production site in Oldisleben, the traditional butcher's store Holzapfel, which was founded in 1815, has nine branches in the region and currently employs 85 people. The business, which enjoys an excellent reputation both regionally and nationally, was successfully continued in the opening proceedings and is also being successfully continued in the opened proceedings. As part of the continuation, various restructuring measures were successfully implemented, including an adjustment of prices to the cost reality and the strategic expansion of sales, which had previously focused on supplying the company's own branches, to include the catering and retail sectors.

The company will be restructured by means of an insolvency plan, which will be submitted to the court in the near future.
